WFP Jordan Food Security Outcome Monitoring (FSOM) (Quarter 2, 3, & 4 2024)

Mindset partnered with the World Food Programme (WFP) to conduct Food Security Outcome Monitoring (FSOM) in Jordan – an initiative aiming to assess the vulnerability and needs of refugees receiving assistance from WFP by evaluating the impact of various assistance mechanisms, including bank cards, electronic wallets, iris fingerprinting, and purchasing vouchers. The data collected helps WFP understand the effectiveness of these interventions and inform future program decisions.

Mindset conducted data collection for this regular monitoring exercise, administering a survey every quarter of the year. The survey involved interviewing the head of the family or a person familiar with family affairs from a sample of beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries of the program. The sample size ranged from 1,090 to 2,100 respondents, depending on the quarter, and included both camps and host communities. The results of the study helped WFP better understand refugee vulnerability in Jordan and guided the planning of future assistance programs.
