Mindset is looking for a full-time Research Assistant / Associate [depending on experience and qualifications], to be based in our office in Amman.
The assistant or associate will work under the direct supervision of the senior researcher, assisting in the day-to-day activities of research and content development. This includes:
1. Desk Research
Develop evidence reviews, literature reviews, and desk research on different issues and in support of the ongoing research projects.
2. Field Research
Support Mindset's large field research activities as and where needed, mainly in the development of inception reports, desk reviews, research tools development and refinement, reports on interim and final results, final deliverables and reports, including quantitative and qualitative data analysis, contextualization, and triangulation.
3. Content Development
Support in the development of different content including: research products; knowledge products; events documents; presentations; reports; executive summaries; abstracts; policy reviews; briefing notes; evidence reviews; literature reviews; articles and blogs; social media and digital content; content for infographics, motion graphics, and other forms of visualizations; and proposals.
4. Proposals and Grants Management
Reviewing technical requirements in proposal development, and supporting in the development of inception reports and technical deliverables [reports, presentations, infographics, other forms of content]; and arranging with senior experts and consultants on technical content development and revision, as and where needed.
5. Stakeholders Engagement and Outreach
Expanding existing and building new networks with stakeholders including experts, policy-makers, research professionals, members of academia, international organizations, civil society, media, development practitioners and consultants, among others; and towards that end, supporting in engagement activities and content development, participating in meetings and communication.
6. Knowledge Management
Support in the development and implementation of Mindset's knowledge management strategy; and in other knowledge and information related activities, including accreditation plans and requirements, knowledge translation activities, and corporate professional memberships and certifications.
- Education to university level; at least undergraduate, but preferably at a graduate level
- At least three years of professional experience in research, content development, or other relevant areas
- Excellent Arabic and English language skills
- Highly motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail
- Analytical, quantitative, and qualitative research skills
