EU Madad Fund's National Awareness Survey

Mindset supported the EU Madad Fund, UNICEF, and the Jordanian Ministry of Social Development (MOSD) to conduct a national awareness campaign aimed at addressing the public's limited knowledge of social protection programs in Jordan. The campaign focused on educating the public about social protection initiatives, particularly those benefiting vulnerable groups such as informal workers, people with disabilities, and the elderly. It also aimed to clarify eligibility criteria for large-scale programs like cash benefits and social security, with the goal of improving access to multiple programs simultaneously.

Mindset played a key role in the project by drafting the seven quantitative tools and the qualitative framework necessary for the assessment. These tools focused on critical aspects of social protection awareness and its effectiveness in reaching the target population. The situation analysis used a mixed-method approach, collecting data through surveys and focus group discussions (FGDs) across Jordan’s three main regions. The analysis targeted five key groups: the general population, vulnerable groups (informal workers, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and female-headed households), current beneficiaries of the Social Security Corporation (SSC), recipients of MOSD and National Aid Fund (NAF) services, and government staff at the SSC, MOSD, and NAF.

In addition, Mindset delivered a final report that included detailed findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations, incorporating feedback from UNICEF and other key stakeholders.
