Professor Muktar Gadyana

Muktar Gadyana has been working with Mindset in Nigeria since 2022 on projects centered around Public Health. As an advisor, he also participates in Mindset's business development activities by strengthening our partnerships with other local organizations and experts.

Mr. Gadyana is multi-awarded Professor of Public Health at Bayero University, and Honorary Consultant Public Physician. He has consulted for numerous local and international governmental, non-governmental and inter-governmental organizations like the Nigerian Ministry of Health, WHO, UNICEF, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and USAID. Throughout his 15 years-long career, he has proven his technical skills in qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods research methods applied to Public Health activities. Thanks to his valuable expertise in Public Health and Epidemiology, he supported nationwide research in Nigeria, thus participating in the development and strengthening of national healthcare systems.

Professor Gadyana is a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCPH). He holds a Master's degree of Science (MSc) from the University of London/London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in Reproductive and Sexual Health Research. And he obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Bayero University in Kano, Nigeria.
